Description

The planned project activities aim to promote greater awareness of the role of STEM subjects in the education and training of young female students, with particular focus on Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities, and, last but not least, with particular attention to students from socio-economic disadvantaged backgrounds attending the “E. Caruso” Pubblic High School in Naples. The sessions are structured through the participation of female figures who will serve as carriers of significant examples of women who have chosen to educate themselves and work in technical and scientific fields.

The project objectives are:

  1. To promote an approach to the study, knowledge, and learning of STEM subjects;
  2. To reduce the gender gap, fueled by stereotypes and prejudices, as well as by the still-persistent common sense;
  3. To encourage young female students to develop a higher awareness of their own aptitudes and resources;
  4. To spread the stories of women who represent the STEM world as positive role models.
