ASSIST is an international cooperation project funded by the Puglia Region (Regional Law 20/2003) with the aim of improving the quality of life and inclusion of people with disabilities and non-self-sufficient elderly people in the Municipality of Cërrik, Albania.

For over 10 years, it has been involved in social development initiatives and youth policy support actions in Albania.
The initiative aims to strengthen support and care services for individuals through training courses for formal and informal caregivers, who will be able to offer qualified and concrete support to families.

The initiative aims to strengthen support and care services for people through training courses aimed at formal and informal caregivers, who will be able to offer qualified and concrete support to families.
Main activities
- Activation of a local Help Desk and a counseling center for autonomy and social inclusion.
- Creation of a 48-hour course based on the European Care Certificate (ECC) to qualify local caregivers. www.europeancarecertificate.eu
- Promoting the rights of people with disabilities and raising community awareness to reduce social isolation.
- Creating a public shortlist of certified caregivers in the municipality of Cerrik.
